Moose Horn Lodge is 10 miles from the Chapleau Crown Game Preserve which is the biggest game preserve in the world. Our location is called the Black Bear Capital due to our area having the most dense population of Black Bears in the world.
Our 2007 fall bear hunt success rate was 94% with a 241% sighting rate. Our success rate is more than three times the provincial average of 30%. This is why Moose Horn Lodge is well known all over North America. Black Bears in our area average anywhere between 150 and 300 pounds due to the abundance of food, wilderness location and the conservation management of Moose Horn Lodge.

Goudreau is a small wilderness paradise where only the
sounds of animals and the beautiful array of falling leaves will wake you!
All hunts start from the Bristol Motel in Wawa, Ontario. One of your guides will meet you and answer any questions you may have. At this point you can arrange to make any last minute purchases of supplies and licenses before being transported into the wilderness to your stands. Once in Goudreau, You will be left to hunt on your own. But don't worry, should you have any problems, your guides are just a phone call away.
