Cape Croker Indian Reserve
Photo Tour
Yes this is an Indian Reserve.
No, it is not private.

Think of a reserve as a township or county. All roads are open to the public unless marked. We traveled down all the roads of the reserve to take our pictures.

This reserve is not a tourist trap. There are two campgrounds, several parks, Bruce Trail, Rainbow and Bass fishing, 1 lookout, 1 restaurant, 2 boat launches, a few old churches and a few small craft shops in houses. Reserves normally do not have a down town. Where the churches are, is probably the closest they have to a down town. They have not clearly marked parks, boat launches, beaches and the lighthouse.

The people are very friendly. Do not be intimidated by them looking at you, this is a small community and they are looking to see if they know you. Wave and they will wave back.

Some natives are very friendly. Drop into www.HarbourPark.net and ask for John. He would be happy if he could see you. John and his wife could tell you a story or two about the area.
