Mountain Biking There are lots of places for Mountain Biking in Grey and Bruce Counties. One of the problems is, part of the bike trail either Uses or Crosses the Bruce Trail. This means that we must get approvals for many of the maps we want to put on the net. This might be a tough process because mountain bikers have been taking down official "no mountain biking" signs. We had the same problem with snowmobilers 15 years ago. The fix was that the snowmobile clubs had to be very strict with their members and they also had to police the trail. Mountain Bikers in the area do not want to do this so respect the wishes of the owners of the land.

This trail gets hot in the summer but don't worry, there are two very nice small sandy beaches to go swimming at. See red 23 on the map and at Craigleith. This trail is excellent in the fall when the apples are ripe (Hmm) and the leaves are in full colour. Also you go past the largest ski hill in the area.
This is one of our main mountain bike race trails in Grey/Bruce. Do not bike on the ski trail. We will try to inform you when there is a race. This is a technical coarse on sandy hills. |
