Eastern Ontario is full of history "Ottawa the capital of Canada is here"
Forts and the Rideau Canal were built to stop the American Invasion. Also, American Loyalist fled from United States to this region. The land is a mixture of farms and wilderness with lots of lakes. All types of fishing in this region is good. Boating is also popular as there are two canals. One goes from Lake Ontario to Ottawa and the other goes
to Georgian Bay.
Summers are normally hot, winters are normally cold, late spring and early fall have a nice moderate climate. The northern part of this region can get cold in the winter.
