Port Loring Area

We stayed at Northern Lights Resort, went to one event at the Firefly Festival in Port Loring, took late spring/early summer area photos and traveled 40 miles of water west of Port Loring.

These waters contain a heathy amount of Pike, Pickerel, Large and Small Mouth Bass.

The bush contains a large amount of dear and bear. Resorts like Northern Lights will provide bear pepper spray when hiking their trails.

Firefly Festival is at several local resorts and in Port Loring.

Saturday - Boat & ATV show, Canoe Race, Kids Activities, Horseshoe Tournament, Rock Bass Tournament, Steak and Lobster Fest, Bingo, Live Band and more

Blackflies and Mosquito
During hot spring days these pest normally hide. Bug repellant does work well.
They do bug people differently.
The bights do not affect some lucky people. Most people get small bumps that last a day or two. Some unfortunate people suffer an allergic reaction. The last group should ask their doctor or pharmacist about ointment.
