This is one of the largest winter event for Grey and Bruce counties. For a nominal donation anyone can participate in this event. Hopefully www.wiarton.ca will be a sponsor next year for this event. Come back to this site next Jan. for information.
The snowmobile and Hepworth ski trail are well groomed for this event.
Tourist Note:
This is the off-season for the Wiarton tourist region. Most motels will have a few extra rooms and the rates are quite reasonable.

Final Note
February is a great time to take a holiday in the Wiarton area. The weather is normal cold with lots of snow. Many people drive here by snowmobile from Collingwood, Orangeville and Stratford. The Cross Country Ski trail is well known in the area for having the best local skating and cross country trail system. Also, Wiarton will surprise you with a unique shopping experience.
